Tree Planting

The Sunrise Rotary Club participated in the Rotary Tree Planting Challenge with the Durham Rotary Club and the Southwest Durham Rotary Club. The Rotary Tree Planting Challenge was started by Rotary International President Ian Riseley, who challenged Rotarians to plant 1.2 million trees this year, one for each Rotarian. Together with the organization Keep Durham Beautiful and Boy’s Scouts, we planted about 35 trees this afternoon at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.
